It's so hard to believe that Winter in Aspen/Snowmass is gone (what a great ski season with over 400 inches of picture-perfect snow) and Summer is almost here. The weather has been spectacular! Nice cool mornings in the mid 30s to lower 40s and the afternoons are in the 60s with an occasional pop into the lower 70s, but the 60s is where it's been for most afternoons. Can it get any better? Let's ask the Texans and Floridians if this sounds acceptable!
For all of you mountain bikers, the Sky Mountain Park trails are open and are riding GREAT. We have had a few soft and steady rains that lets the trails get packed down, nice and tacky. For those who don't know, Airline Trail is now a downhill-only trail, rather than being a 2-way trail. The new uphill trail starts at the bottom just across the small bridge that crosses the creek (which is RAGING) and splits to the left. More safe uphilling and even safer downhilling is good for everyone.
Hope you enjoy the picture from 6:30AM at the top of Deadline Trail on Sky Mountain Park. It is mornings like this as well as the perfect afternoons, cool nights, great people and endless outdoor activities that draws people to the Aspen/Snowmass area. The Summer real estate season is almost upon us and with inventory still very tight (only 55 available single-family homes on the market in Aspen and 21 available single-family homes in Snowmass) prices are remaining strong and don't appear to be dipping any time soon. If you see a property that checks a lot of your boxes and the price works for you, it's best to jump on it ASAP, lest you miss out to a faster buyer.
